SAVE A SMILE CAMPAIGN 

What a journey this has been, 4 friends brought together as expats in Dubai with our goal of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania less than 10 days away. What started out as a bucket list for milestone birthdays, a challenge to push ourselves and our lives into a new direction, to accomplish something majestic and help others along the way has turned us upside down and inside out. Despite covid restrictions we have trained when and wherever we could, trekking in the intense heat of the Liwa desert, the Hatta Mountains and even along the coast of Gozo, then back to the chilled slopes of Dubai indoor ski dome. Running, spinning, swimming, weight training, breaking sprinting records you name it we’ve tried it and we are ready and raring we are  The Kili Warriors.

              A LIFE.INSPIRE A DREAM.BUILD. 

This great message takes us to Larchfield an official non government organisation in Tanzania. It’s purpose is to serve as a safe and secure refuge for young children in a particular district of Tanzania whose families have been dislocated and destroyed by HIV and who lack the basic amenities such as shelter, nourishment, care and education. Larchfield aim to build and operate a caring environment for these orphans, so they may thrive. At present there are thousands of children living without access to even a basic level of food and water, security and care. The project began with them in mind, and our part is to help support the project, give these children a better life, inspire their dreams and build new lives. Our dream of climbing Kilimanjaro is happening now and with you, our friends and family supporting us we can help Larchfield pursue their dreams. 

Please join us on our journey, we can guarantee laughter and probably some tears, we can’t guarantee we will hide our pain, but we can promise we will do our very best to make the summit.

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN:

Gulf for Good invites you to donate virtual masks to help support orphaned children living at Larchfield Children’s Home.  Each virtual mask is AED25. 

Your donation supports these children as follows:

- AED25 donation (1 virtual mask) provides fresh milk and three square meals for 1 child for 1 day

- AED100 donation (4 virtual masks) provides school uniform for 1 child for 1 year

- AED250 donation (10 virtual masks) provides pencils, note books and other school stationary for 2 children for 1 school year 

- AED500 donation (20 virtual masks) provides 5 large mosquito nets to go over 5 bunk beds protecting 10 children each night against Malaria

- AED1000 donation (40 virtual masks) provides primary school education for 1 child for 1 academic year
