At NAS TRACK DUBAI , 4PM FRIDAY 25APR TO 10AM SAT 26APR
Samir is a bright 9-year-old boy from Sudan who dreams of playing football like his heroes – but his childhood has been shaped by a painful injury that continues to hold him back. He urgently needs corrective surgery to restore movement in his right arm and relieve the daily discomfort he has lived with his whole life.
When Samir was born, he suffered a neonatal brachial plexus injury – a condition that damaged the network of nerves controlling his arm. Despite years of physiotherapy, the lack of mobility continues to frustrate him. As he grows older, he has become increasingly self-conscious, often hiding his arm from others.
Samir is smart, social, and full of energy. He loves school, video games, and spending time with his two sisters. But behind his cheerful nature is a boy who longs to participate in the world with confidence – to play, write, and move without pain or embarrassment.
“We just want him to feel like other children – to not have to hide his arm or hold back from the things he loves” says Samir’s father.
