My name is Ayesha, I’m 17 years old and I’m currently a student in Dubai at Al Salam Community School. I’ve always believed in the power of education to change lives, and I’m committed to supporting children in Pakistan who are deprived of this basic right. This summer, I’ve taken on a mission close to my heart: helping underprivileged children get the education they deserve. 

Living in the UAE, I’ve had access to high-quality education and a plethora of opportunities. Sadly, millions of children in Pakistan are not as fortunate. Right now, approximately 26.2 million children are out of school in Pakistan - over half of them are girls. These kids are just like us, full of dreams and potential, but they are ostracized from one basic right: education. 

That’s where The Citizens Foundation (TCF) comes in. TCF is one of the largest networks of independently run schools in the world. With over 2,000 school units across Pakistan and an all-female faculty of 14,700 teachers, they’re working tirelessly to bring children from slums and rural areas into classrooms. Today, over 301,000 deserving students are getting quality education through TCF!

Each contribution if just AED 50 can support the education of one child for an entire month. That’s the cost of a single meal or a movie ticket - but for a child in Pakistan, it can open the door to a whole new future.

With education comes change. Help me turn small dreams into big futures!
