Hi, my name is Raania Ahmed. I am completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. I am dedicated to supporting the cause of education in Pakistan. Living abroad, I am fortunate enough to have access to world-class education, however, I am aware that for most children back home, that is not the reality. 

Pakistan is in the midst of an education crisis. There are 26.2 million children out of school in Pakistan due to a lack of schools and poor quality of education. If we can help place children in school, then we should because they have as much potential as the rest of us. Every child deserves a chance! 

This summer, I am participating in TCF Ambassadors of Change Programme. To learn more about The Citizens Foundation, click here to access their website: https://www.tcf.org.pk/. I am raising funds for TCF to help them educate the less privileged children of Pakistan and turn their small dreams into big realities because with education comes change. For this programme, I have made a campaign on the YallaGive website, which is an approved fundraising platform in the UAE. 

The campaign I've created is called "Then vs. Now: School Edition". We all have a childhood photo - a moment frozen in time from a life full of opportunities. Unfortunately, many children in Pakistan never get the chance to attend school or look back on it. Which is why this campaign invites you to post a childhood photo vs where you are now and donate to help send underprivileged in Pakistan to school through The Citizens Foundation (TCF). With just AED 100 you can support the education of two deserving children of TCF schools for a month! How many would you like to support?
