Story

Farah, ‘happiness’ in Arabic, is Al Jalila Foundation’s paediatric program which provides life-saving treatment, funds cutting edge research and offers hope to countless children suffering from heart disease, cancer and other chronic illnesses and their families.

Al Jalila Foundation partnered with The Little Wings Foundation in 2018 to facilitate treatment for children with congenital or acquired limb deformities and help these children in their daily struggle and give them the tools they need to succeed in life.

Al Jalila Foundation partnered with Heroes of Hope in 2020, a not-for-profit group founded by Hollie Murphy in 2013, to develop and support the sporting, social and interpersonal skills for people of determination. The organisation serves athletes as young as 4; the focus is across many sporting disciplines and ability levels which caters to all ages including adults.

Al Jalila Foundation partnered with Brest Friends in 2015 to raise awareness on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, furthering patient support with medical treatment and investing in local breast cancer research. Patients and survivors meet to learn, share experiences and offer moral and emotional support to each other. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women with 1 in 8 women being diagnosed in their lifetime.
