Cancer affects more men than women in the UAE, and the sole goal of Al Jalila Foundation's Majlis Al Amal is to support female patients and survivors in overcoming the challenges of this disease. The centre is run by volunteers and allows patients to drop in at any time for information, use the in-house library, participate in classes, or attend educational sessions.

Through this Indian Classical Dance show held on the 25th of October, we aim to collect funds and donations to support women’s cancer care in association with Majlis Al Amal.

Along with patients and dancers from the centre, we hope to attract an audience of Indian classical dance enthusiasts while providing support for those battling these challenges daily.

Cancer is not just a women's issue; it is a challenge faced by 1 in 5 people worldwide and deserves support regardless of gender, age, or race.

We hope to harness the shared love for the art form of dance as a basis for support and unity, making a meaningful difference in someone's life.

100% of the proceeds will go towards Majlis Al Amal.

About the Campaign

Majlis Al Amal, a cancer community centre for women, has grown into a sanctuary and ‘home away from home’ for cancer patients. Together, we have built a community where courage, compassion and hope flourish, providing strength to one another through every step of the cancer journey.

At Al Jalila Foundation, in line with our 'Patient First' promise, our goal is to ensure that every cancer patient, regardless of their financial circumstances, receives the best possible care so they can focus on their recovery and well-being. To mark the third anniversary of Majlis Al Amal in a meaningful way, we are launching a fundraising challenge by our members to help women unable to afford treatment.

100% of funds raised will provide life-saving medical care to women with cancer.
